Summer is officially here as three iconic bands rocked it out back to back in the Lion City.
March has definitely kicked off our eardrums with a bang. Singaporean fans were lucky enough to be serenaded by three world-class bands in its first week. Fans from all generations swooned as they witnessed live performances by Blue, Kodaline and Maroon 5. Their shows certainly raised the temperature to another level.
Now let’s get a roundabout of the first three concerts that made our hearts sing, yet made our wallets cry.
March 2- Blue
The hit British boy band took us on a trip down memory lane after performing hit singles “ One Love”, “ All Rise” and who wouldn’t remember the sad ballad “ Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” when they hit the center stage at Zepp@Big Box last Saturday. After taking a long hiatus on their career the fans were thrilled to see them live and sing along to their nostalgic songs.

On Tuesday the modern rock quartet Kodaline brought some good vibes around as they launched their new album with more pop-driven tunes different from their previous acoustic sounds. The indie rock band did not disappoint their stoked audience on their Politics of Living Tour 2019 leaving the fans wanting for more.
March 7- Maroon 5
Tickets were sold out months prior to the concert, Maroon 5’s biggest concert at National Stadium was more than just a musical spectacle. Adam Levine, James Valentine, Jesse Carmichael, PJ Morton, Mickey Madden, Matt Flynn, and Ryan Dusick, played a dynamic set list of both old favorites and current hits. With the combination of well-balanced light production, the charismatic voice of Adam Levine, the night faded away as the crowd sang along and danced along whipping their phones in the air to immortalize the beautiful night. It was undeniably a fun night for the concert goers- it seemed like a ninety-minute masskaraoke session together with thousands of fans singing along.
After having a music filled week, concert goers should expect a series of emotions slowly creeping in sometimes even gradually. It is the worst type of hangover, the post concert hangover. You replay your concert highlights on your social media and worst if you can’t get the songs out of your head 24/7, and sometimes singing in the shower won’t be enough that you end upsinging karaoke online. Yes, there is no shame in that, there are tons of guilty parties out there. All thanks to the updated karaoke songs inPopsical, you can now sing along to your favoritenewly released singles to your heart’s content.
