Explore the world of boy bands

Western boybands were crazed way back then before K pop boybands such as EXO, Big Bang and BTS made waves in Asia. Let us look back to the former and new generation of boybands, and find out why they managed to top the music charts all over the world. 

Is it because of their dance moves, their boyish handsome looks or their singing that can make every girl in the room swoon? 

Ever since the 1980s, boy bands have already started popping up and girls are screaming for more. Not only are they good at singing and dancing but, they are also what you might call pretty boys. They are charming and have the voices of an angel. You will surely love them once you see them perform.

Westlife- 1998

The group which consists of 4 handsome, british men are one of the most popular boybands in the world. They currently hold the record for having the most singles to debut at No. 1 in the UK. Their good looks and stunning voices certainly sealed the deal. They recently started their Asia Tour in Singapore last August 10 and fans were more than happy to watch them. If you haven’t gotten the chance to see them perform live, don’t worry because I’m positive that they will be back soon.

Backstreet Boys- 1997

I was just a kid when Backstreet Boys became popular. Even though I was young, I was already singing to their songs. They are so charismatic and talented that they are hailed as the best-selling boy band of all time. Their best song is I Want It That Way but for me, it would be the Shape of My Heart.

Boyz II Men- 1991

Boyz II Men will forever be boys in our hearts, even though they already have their own families. This is how we will remember them, as boys who have swoon every girl that listened to them. They have the perfect vocal abilities and harmonies which set the standard for boy bands.

When Justin Timberlake became a part of this boy band, every girl had his poster up in their rooms. This boy is the perfect example of a handsome young man who can sing, dance, and act. Thanks to *NSYNC, we discovered Justin. But as a group, they were unstoppable. They rocked the 2001 Super Bowl halftime show with Aerosmith, Britney Spears, and Nelly. I will never forget their most popular song called Bye Bye Bye and their dance moves.

One Direction- 2012

Thanks so much to Simon Cowell of The X Factor, he formed this boy band. Millions of girls from all over the world are dying to meet them, especially Harry Styles. Even after he came out as bisexual, girls are still OK with it. I cannot blame them because he is too handsome. What Makes You Beautiful is one of their most favorite songs and it is one of my favorites also. They have conquered the hearts of people from both the US and the UK.
